Operate a chainsaw from a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP)

|Course Description:||A 1 day course to train people to operate a chainsaw from within a Mobile Elevated Work Platform.|
|Suitable For:||Any person wishing to operate a chainsaw from within a MEWP.|
|Pre-Requisites:||CS30, CS31, Operate a M.E.W.P. Candidates who also hold City & Guilds NPTC CS38 & CS39 would not be required to hold this unit (CS47) unless it is a specific requirement of a contract owner.|
|Times:||9.00am to 5.00pm daily|
|Learning Outcomes:||Risk Assessment and Legislation.
Identify environmental factors that may be present.
Undertake hazard assessment of tree to be worked upon.
Carry out pre-use inspection and set up prior to using a MEWP
• Set up a MEWP for work
• Achieve a safe working position with the MEWP
• Operate a chainsaw from the MEWP to remove lateral limbs
• Operate a chainsaw from the MEWP to remove vertical stem sections
|Equipment Needs:||A waterproof coat (course will continue even in rain). Candidates should bring chainsaw PPE. All other equipment needed will be provided.|
|Costs & Breakdown:||Training £135.00 + VAT. Assessment £145.00 zero VAT.|
|Notes:||Candidates will need to bring their own packed lunch. Hot drinks will be provided for the duration of the course, free of charge.|
