Course Description: A course looking at how to work safely adjacent to electrical aparatus up to and including 400kv. The course covers Site Work Safety, Recognition of system components, Tree categories, and safety zones.
Suitable For: Anyone wanting to work adjacent to overhead and underground electrical aparatus owned by a Network Oporator
Pre-Requisites: No other units are required to undertake this unit.
Duration/Format: 2 Days.
Times: 9.00am until 5.00pm
Learning Outcomes: To understand the safety procedures when working adjacent to a network when both live or dead.To recognise the equipment you will be working adjacent to.Have the knowledge of the safe distances to be maintained.Understand the procedure to undertake in the event of an incident or emergency.
Equipment Needs: A waterproof coat is all that is needed for this course in case of inclement weather during the site visit to look at the electrical network in situ. Workbook, pen, paper etc provided.
Costs & Breakdown: £180.00 for the training and £125 for the assessment
